The Product

The Company’s core product, referred to as HYDROSMART, evolved out of a defence requirement to prevent reaction between the minerals or chemicals present in water supplies. Researchers working in the area of particle physics had established that scale formation and corrosion problems are both related to the 'electron bonding' mechanism, (an attraction between the opposite poles of the outer orbiting electrons of adjacent molecules). Hydrosmart’s researchers focused on the effect of different resonance frequencies on electron bonding in order to find solutions that were effective over a wide range of minerals. They discovered that properly selected resonance frequencies not only caused the minerals and chemicals to become non reactive, affecting the corrosive process, but also broke down the crystals into much smaller particles. This resulted in scale prevention and descaling as well as a wide range of other benefits.

HYDROSMART has the following features:

• Stops chemical bonding. It uses a series of computer-generated resonance frequencies to disrupt electron polarity. This neutralizes the bonding ability of any minerals or chemicals present in the water.
  
  
• Chemical-free scale prevention. By preventing minerals bonding together to form crystals, the resonance frequencies prevent scale formation. And it does so without the use of chemicals.
  
  
• Uninterrupted water flows. The resonance frequencies are focused in the water flow, via antennae, which are wound in tight coils around the treated water pipe. Hence, there are no restrictions on the water flow.
  
  
• Chemical free de-scaling. The resonance frequencies, which remain active in the treated flow for many days, immediately start to break down the bonds of any existing scale downstream of the HYDROSMART system. Within three months, all pipes and equipment connected to the treated flow become scale free.
  
  
• Corrosion and chloride attack prevented. The resonance frequencies neutralize chemical reactivity between metals and aggressive chemical compounds in the water supply, thereby preventing corrosion and chloride attack.
  
  
• Bio-film and stain removal. Both bio-film and stains are trapped by the mineral deposits (scale) that build up on sinks, pipes, ponds and drains. When the scale is removed, there is no longer any substrate to which stains and bio-films can adhere. The same process progressively cleans ceramic and stainless surfaces that are in contact with the treated water.
  
  
• Bacterial control. Scale, bio-film, algae, fungi and the like are breeding grounds for bacteria. Once they are removed, there is a significant reduction in the bacteria population with results that range from exceptionally low bacterial counts at food production facilities to prolonged shelf life of the food products (10–17 days).
  
  
• Commercial flows of soft water. Hard water contains high levels of large mineral crystals which have to be overcome before detergency can take place. HYDROSMART breaks these crystals into tiny particles, permitting lathering to take place immediately.
  
  
• Cleaner clothes, softer garments. After treatment with HYDROSMART, the large crystals and dirt are no longer trapped in the garments. Rather, the minerals in the water are so small that they will pass through any known fabric weave, giving excellent washing results. This greatly reduces the need for chemical fabric softeners, which can block up drains and burden waste water treatment plants. 
  
  
• Algae and mould. These can only attach to particles bigger than 6-8 microns. Since HYDROSMART removes mineral deposits and reduces all particles to less than four microns, there is nothing for algae and mould to form on or cling to.
  
  
• Health benefits. A variety of health benefits result from the progressive removal of scale deposits and bio-films which are the breeding ground for algae, bacteria and fungi (e.g. shower mould produces air-borne spores that can affect asthma sufferers). Other fungal formations including dandruff and athlete’s foot can also only form on large crystals, and cannot survive on the tiny particles left by HYDROSMART. There is growing evidence of a reduction in the occurrence of kidney stones in live stock drinking HYDROSMART-treated water. This benefit should also apply to humans, with particular relevance for those on high calcium diets.
  
  
• Enhanced plant growth. Two years of independent scientific research has demonstrated that there is a significant improvement in the growth rates, and an accompanying reduction in growing problems, for plants that have been irrigated with HYDROSMART-treated water. This is largely due to the minerals in the treated flow being changed into a form more-readily assimilated by the plant.
  
  
• Healthy plants from high salinity water. It is now possible to grow healthy plants in soils with salinity levels that were formerly considered toxic to plant growth. Commercial crops can be viable in highly mineralized bore water. These benefits may be realized by both the home gardener and the commercial growers.
